Quick and Easy Double Gauze and Terry Burp Cloths
I actually posted these burp cloths on the Fairfield World site a couple of weeks ago and I am finally getting around to posting them here. Burp cloths are a super easy project to make and they are great for baby gifts. They literally only take a few minutes to make. Some people like to make burp cloths that have more shape to them, rounded ends, peanut shaped, or with a notch on one side, but I prefer to make mine just plain rectangles. I feel like they work just as well and that way you don't need a special pattern. Just cut the right size of rectangle and you are good to go.

Round Crocheted Pouf
Fairfield World recently challenged all of their Master Makers to make a pouf using their new round foam tuffet. I right away knew that I wanted to crochet mine. I have seen lots of crocheted poufs different places so I kind of had an idea in my mind of what I wanted my pouf to look like. I wanted to use a really thick, bulky yarn so I looked around for a while trying to find a bulky yarn that I thought would work best. I decided on Bernat Blanket because I felt like not only did it have the bulkiness I was looking for, it also was a good price. I bought the giant balls at JoAnn and especially using a coupon it seemed like the most affordable option for a bulky yarn. I ended up using about 1 1/2 of the big balls. I haven't done a bulky yarn project for a while and it was kind of nice because with the thick yarn and a large hook it worked up really fast.
Creatively Crafty Link Party #10
It's Thursday again which means it is time again for the Creatively Crafty Link Party. I haven't gotten a whole lot posted in the past week. Last week my husband was out of town for work most of the week and then we headed out of town for a weekend getaway for our anniversary. That trip was long overdue and I didn't bring my computer or do anything blog related the whole time. It was a really nice break from everything. Now starting today I will be spending the rest of the week attending the Snap Conference here in Salt Lake. Snap is a conference for craft and DIY bloggers and I am really excited to be going. I will probably be sharing a lot on Instagram but might not around here much for the next couple of days. Anyway, back to the link party, thanks to everyone who shared projects with us last week. As usual each of us will be featuring our favorite projects that were linked up this past week. If you are featured be sure to grab the "featured on" button. Baby Travel Set- Diaper Clutch & Zipper Pouch

I remember when we were getting ready for our first baby to be born we got a nice big diaper bag and all of the things to go with it. We packed that thing full of everything we might need and lugged it everywhere with us. It seems like with each kid I have put less and less in that bag, even though I have more kids. Half the time I don't even bring it with me. I might just throw a couple diapers and a small thing of wipes in my purse or bag, or just leave the diaper bag in the car and only go get it if I need to change a diaper. Right now that is working great, I just have one toddler in diapers and as long as I have a diaper or two and some wipes that is usually all I need. However, now we are only a few months away from having a new little baby and there are a few other things I may want to have with me. I thought that it would be nice to make a little set of bags that I could put the few things that I need in and then stick in my other bags that I may be carrying around or even just keep in the car in case I ever forget to grab stuff. I made a set of two bags, one a diaper clutch to hold a few diapers and maybe a small thing of wipes, the other is a zipper pouch that can hold an extra outfit or maybe a pacifier or other small things. I thought those would give me a way to have the essentials with me even when I don't want to carry a diaper bag.

Let the Adventure Begin Onesie
This month I am teaming up with Cricut to share some baby ideas using my new Cricut. This past weekend I finally had a chance to pull it out and play around with it a little. I wanted to make some onesies to use as baby gifts for some friends who are having babies soon. Since having a new baby is always a new adventure, whether it is your first or your sixth, I thought it would be fun to put "Let the Adventure Begin" on the onesie.

Future Geek Baby Shirt
I have been wanting to get a cutting machine for a while so I was really excited when a couple of weeks ago I had the opportunity to team up with Cricut and not only get a brand new Cricut Explore Air, but also get together with a group of local bloggers for an evening of crafting and learning how to use my new machine. We made little baby onesies or bibs that night and I thought it would be fun to share the one that I made.
Spring Colors Scarf
The first of the month means a new Creative Craft Bloggers Challenge. Each month a group of craft bloggers that I am a part of all get together and come up with projects based on a theme. It is always fun to see what everyone does because even though we all have the same theme all of the projects end up so different. For April our theme was Spring Colors. It is interesting to have a color or group of colors as a theme because really you could make anything. My project was inspired by some yarn that had colors that reminded me of spring.
