Cricut 101: Tools and Supplies (and a Cute Sign)
Cricut 101: Cards for All Occasions
With Mother's Day this weekend, Father's Day next month, birthday parties, baby shower, and weddings all throughout the year there are always times when you need a card. With your Cricut it is super easy to make cards for any of those occasions. You can always create something of your own, that is always fun to do and it is great if you want something really specific or personalized, but sometimes you just need something quick or maybe you just want something that is ready to go without needing to come up with a design.
SNAP 2017 - Conference Recap and Printable

A couple of weeks ago I was able to attend Snap Conference for the 3rd year. The first two times that I attended Snap I won a ticket, once through a giveway and once through a craft blogger contest I participated in. I really enjoyed it the past couple of years but I debated whether or not I should go this year. First of all, I was going to have to actually buy a ticket this year so I had to decide whether or not we could fit that in the budget. Second, I was going to have an 8 month old baby that I would either have to bring with me which would have been hard since he is always on the go, or I would have to leave him with someone which would be hard because I wasn't sure I was ready to leave my baby. In the past my husband has taken time off work to stay with the kids but this year with a new job that wasn't really an option. After lots of back and forth we decided to buy a ticket and my parents took the kids for the weekend. I actually ended up staying at the hotel rather than driving back and forth each day. It was nice to be able to be there for the whole time instead of missing out on some of the evening events like I have in years past.
Cricut 101: Labels and Decals Made Easy

I have had my Cricut for just over a year and I love how quick and easy it is to make projects on it. For anyone who may not know what a Cricut is, it is a cutting machine that can cut several different things, vinyl, cardstock, iron on, and so many more. Cricut is the brand, there are other brands with similar machines. The actual machine that I currently have is the Cricut Explore Air 2. I first had an Explore Air before getting the 2 and they both do pretty much the same things, the 2 just has a couple new features. You can either come up with your own designs or use premade designs in Cricut Design Space on your computer or mobile device. My favorite things to cut are vinyl and iron on decals, they are super quick and easy and you can cut out pretty much anything.
Simple Crocheted Card Holder
Just over a week ago I attended Snap, a conference for creative bloggers. In prepration for the conference I made some new business cards and I decided that I needed some little card holders to carry them in. Last year I made some that were sewn but I thought this time I would crochet them. I made some simple little buttoned pouches and they worked perfectly. I used them for my business cards and was able to carry quite a few in each one, but they would also work great as a little card wallet to throw in your purse to keep cards in or as a cute way to give a gift card.
