Earlier this month I made some bracelets to share on the Darice blog, Live Craft Love. I saw these leather bracelets that they had that had pre-punched holes along the long sides. I thought they would be perfect for crocheting into so I ordered some to try out.
I wanted a lacy edging because I kind of liked the idea of the contrast between the leather and a more delicate lace edging. I tried out a few different threads to see how they worked, one was just a plain white thread (it was actually kite string but it worked), the other two were metallic lamè threads that I thought might be fun to try. Any thread that is thin enough to pull through the holes with a small crochet hook should work.
They were a really quick project to make, each one only took a few minutes, so they would be great for little gifts. You can find the pattern on Live-Craft-Love, the Darice Craft Blog.
