Pumpkin Patch T-Shirt and Corn Maze Ticket Giveaway

Today my family had the super fun opportunity to go visit a local corn maze, Glen Ray's Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch in Spanish Fork, Utah. I thought it would be fun to make a little pumpkin patch themed t-shirt for my son to wear and share it here. Also, for anyone local Glen Ray's is giving me two VIP tickets to give away to one of you so you can visit too. Head over to my Instagram to enter the giveaway.

Create Your Own Superhero Costumes

Halloween is just around the corner so it is time to start thinking about costumes and DIY Halloween costumes are always fun. I like making costumes that are unique, not the same as every other kid that knocks on your door. My kids love superheroes, all superheroes, and they each have their favorites. Even though they have favorites I thought that it would be fun to come up with our own superhero and make a Create Your Own Superhero costume. We would come up with some superhero ideas, including costume colors and logos, then based on that we would create our own superhero costumes.

I Survived Thanos Shirt

A few weeks ago my husband and older kids attended FanX, our local comic convention. As he was preparing for the convention he asked me to make a couple of shirts for him to wear. One of the shirts that we made got a lot of comments so I decided to share it here.

I was recently sent some yarn to try out from Delicious Yarns. They have have a new thing that they call "pairings", which they describe as unexpected curated combinations of 2 skeins of yarn, combinations you may not have thought to put together yourself. It is a fun idea to get get you to try out combinations that you may not otherwise try. I chose to try pairing #5, which included a dark green (Guava) and an aqua and white (Gummy Bear). They are available in super wash merino in fingering, sport, or worsted weight.

One of the things I love most about working with my Cricut is how quick and easy it is to make things. Iron on is my favorite material to work with because I feel like I can make cute projects in no time at all, but I also love that I can work with a variety of other materials too. This adorable little whale themed baby set including both a shirt and a softie is a perfect example of a quick project like that, all made with the Cricut.

Kiss the Cook Apron with Cricut Iron On Design

About a month ago I was lucky enough to spend a few days participating in the Cricut Mountain Make-A-Thon. I was there as one of the teachers, I taught a beginning iron on class where we talked about using different types of iron on and slicing vs. layering when using multiple colors and/or types of iron on. I am hoping to get a video and post up covering some of the things I taught in my class really soon.
