12 Days of Crocheted Stocking Stuffers
DAY 5
It is Day 5 and for today's project I made a headband or ear warmer. Quicker than making a whole hat but still great for staying warm in winter weather, this makes a great stocking stuffer.
I based this pattern on my most popular hat pattern, the Bead Stitch Hat. It uses the same 2 main stitches as the hat (I also have a child size hat pattern and a cowl pattern), the bead stitch, and the half double crochet in the third loop.
The half double crochet rows give it an almost knit look, and the bead stitch adds a nice texture, plus it is not a stitch I have seen used often and it is always fun to learn a new stitch.
I have video tutorials for both stitches in case there is any part of it that is a little confusing in the written pattern.
