I am really excited to be sharing a new crocheted stuffed animal pattern today, a Flamingo. It has been a while since I have shared something like this but they are some of my favorite projects to create so I really enjoyed making the flamingo.
The flamingo is made amigurumi style, working in spiral rounds. The body and neck are crocheted in one piece with weighted beads in the base to help it sit. The head is sewn on separately, with safety eyes and a crocheted beak. The wings and legs are also made separately and sewn onto the body.
I used Red Heart Super Saver in Tourmaline, which is a sort of pink and white mix, half of the strand is dyed pink which gives it a sort of heathered look when it is worked up. I liked the texture it gave to the flamingo although any pink would work. I also used Red Heart Super Saver for the beak and legs, in black, white, and cornmeal.

The tail is at the bottom of the foot so I wove it up through the leg to get to the top to stitch it on, when I did I made a little stitch at the top of the foot to keep it at a 90 degree angle to the leg, stitch the leg onto the bottom of the body
