Last month I ordered a bunch of Easter stuff from Oriental Trading Company for some post I was working on with them. I ordered some things I could use to make Easter crafts (like my bunny wreath and paint poured eggs), and I ordered some stuff to put together Easter Basket ideas for kids. They had tons of fun themed eggs and toys. I ended up choosing some donuts and "sweet treats" themed stuff including, ice cream cone eggs, donut plushies, sweet squishies, and sprinkle bracelets.
It was way more than I could actually use for my kids but my plan was to bring lots of little toys, eggs, and candy to a big family Easter egg hunt next month. Then everything changed, we were all staying home and there was not going to be a giant Easter egg hunt with lots of kids.
With everyone stuck inside I decided maybe it would be fun to instead put together little baskets of fun Easter surprises to leave on doorsteps of friends. A little way to bring some extra cheer to someone's day.
They couldn't wait to bring the baskets to their friends houses and drop them on their doorsteps.
How to Make EGG-cellent Easter Tags
You will need:
- Cricut Maker or Explore
- Cardstock (I used white)
- Cricut Pens in a variety of colors (I used Glitter Gel Brights and Extra Fine Brights)
- ribbon
For the baskets you will also want a variety of basket fillers. I used the following to put together my baskets:
Instructions:
Choose the colors of pens you want to use.
Place your cardstock on the mat and cut and draw the designs using your Cricut.
Tie the finished tags onto your filled baskets.
