Day 5 of Dishcloth Week, the last day, the last pattern for the week. It has been fun coming up with different stitches to use for these dishcloth or washcloth patterns.
Today's pattern is probably the most textured of all the patterns this week- The Pebbles Dishcloth.
I planned to make a set of 3 like I did with the other dishcloth sets this week, because that is my preferred way to gift them, in a set of 2 or 3 paired with some soaps and lotions or cleaning supplies depending on what the gift is for. But I ran out of time to get that done. I feel like with the whole cloth basically worked in single crochet height rows, but lots of puff stitches too, this one is probably the dishcloth that takes the longest to make out of all of the patterns I shared this week. But, with that time you get some pretty awesome texture so it is definitely worth it.
How to Crochet the Pebbles Dishcloth
You will need:
- 1 ball of worsted weight cotton yarn (I used Dishie from WeCrochet in Bumblebee, Begonia and Azure also pictured)
- H crochet hook
- yarn needle
- scissors
Instructions:
Puff Stitch:
[Yarn over, insert in stitch, pull up loop] 3 times, yarn over, pull through all 7 loops on hook
ch 30
Row 1: sc in 2nd ch from the hook and each ch to the end (29 sc)
Row 2: ch 1, turn, sc in first stitch, [puff in next stitch, sc in next] repeat to end (14 cl, 15 sc)
Row 3: ch 1, turn, sc in each stitch to the end (29 sc)
Row 4-29: repeat rows 2-3 until you have 29 rows, or reach the desired length for your washcloth (just be sure to end with a row 3)
Finish off, cut yarn, weave in ends
