5 Little Monsters: Grilling Aprons for Dad

Grilling Aprons for Dad

Father's Day is just around the corner and it is time to start thinking about gifts for dads. My husband, like a lot of men, has been doing a lot of grilling as the weather has warmed up so I thought it would be fun to make something for Father's Day that had a grilling theme.

I decided on some grilling aprons. The aprons that I bought for this project happened to come in a 2 pack, so I went with 2 different designs, one more of a grilling themed design, the other just a dad themed design.

The King of the grill apron is a design that I made with Cricut Access elements available in Design Space, so if you are a Cricut Access subscriber it will be free (otherwise you will need to pay for the elements used). It is hard to tell in the pictures but it is made with 3 colors, silver for the grill, whit for the lettering, and red for the handles.

The Best Dad Ever design is one that I found in Design Space and I just used it like it was without changing anything, again it was free as part of Cricut Access or it can be purchased for a small fee. I did this one all in white iron on. I would definitely recommend making this design as large as your space allows because those letters at the bottom are pretty thin.

How to Make Father's Day Grilling Aprons

You will need:

Instructions:

Resize as needed to fit your apron front.

Cut the design out of iron on, be sure to mirror and place iron on shiny side down on the mat.

Weed design and press onto apron using recommended heat settings for the apron you are using (cotton, polyester, cotton-poly blend, etc.) I used a cotton-poly blend and pressed for 30 seconds at 315 degrees.
