A week or two ago I ran to Micheals to pick up something that I needed for a project and while I was there I saw that they had a display of the new Premier Chameleon color changing yarn. I had seen advertisements for it on social media and I thought it would be kind of fun to try out.
I immediately thought of making a bag, since that is something that you could use inside and outside and that would make the color changing part more fun. I ended up getting 2 different colors so that my bag would look solid white inside, and then colored stripes would appear when you take it out in the sun.
I did a simple v-stitch pattern that you could easily do in just one color if you prefer. The Chameleon yarn is a #3 weight yarn, instead of a #4 like the cotton yarns I have used for other market bags, so it is a little thinner. Because of this the pattern is a little bit different in the stitch count that other similar bags I have patterns for. If you use a thicker yarn you may need to adjust the stitch count or end up with a larger bag.
(The colors are a little bit off in the picture, but the lighting wasn't great and it was hard to catch the bag in good light before it started turning pink and purple. The white is pretty white, not as yellow as it looks in the picture)
