It is time for another round of Team Creative Crafts, this time the theme is Last Minute Halloween Crafts. I have been in Halloween crafting mode lately so the theme was perfect for me. I had every intention of starting Halloween and Fall crafts last month, but September ended up being a crazy busy month for me and my family and I didn't get nearly as much done as I had hoped, so now that October is here I am trying to catch up on all of the Halloween and Fall crafts.
Since the theme was "last minute" Halloween crafts I wanted to make something that was a really quick project. When I am looking for a quick craft Cricut crafts are some of my go to projects. I have made reverse canvases for other holidays so I thought some Halloween Reverse Canvases would be kind of fun.
I drew up a couple of Halloween designs, and then added them to the canvases with iron on. I made one on a small square canvas and the other on an 8 x 10. A little bit of paint and iron on, and I had new Halloween decorations in no time at all.
Be sure to check out all of the other Last Minute Halloween crafts. And enter a giveaway below to win a Cricut Vinyl Rolls and a $100 JOANN Gift Card.

How to Make Halloween Reverse Canvases
You will need:
- wrapped artist canvas (I used a 6x6 and an 8x10 for my designs, the 6x6 was a thicker canvas that I bought at Walmart this one on Amazon is similar)
- paint in desired color (I used FolkArt Acrylic in Real Brown and Licorice)
- paintbrush
- Cricut or other cutting machine
- iron on vinyl in black
- EasyPress or iron
- Glue gun and glue sticks
- scissors
Instructions:
Download the Halloween Design files to upload to Cricut Design Space or other cutting machine software.
Remove the canvas from the frame.
Paint or stain the frame and set aside to dry. To get the stained look on the brown frame I painted the frame with brown paint and then quickly wipe it off with a wet wipe. Set aside to dry.
Upload the designs to your cutting software. Resize as needed, the designs needs to fit in the space in the center of the frame.
Cut the designs out of iron on and weed.
Press the designs to the center of the canvas.
Center the frame over the canvas and trim off excess canvas.
Glue the canvas to the back of the frame.
I love the pumpkins - love them in any way or form!
ReplyDeleteI love all the non-spooky decorations! Especially the pumpkins
ReplyDeleteMy favorite thing about autumn is the cooler weather. It's so hot where I live that I don't turn on the oven for a good part of the year. So, by the time autumn gets here, I'm so ready to start cooking/baking seasonal produce/recipes.
