I am excited to announce a new Mini Amigurumi Crochet Along- Spring 2023 Edition. Starting Monday April 3, 12 new patterns will be released over the course of 2 weeks. One new pattern each day Monday-Saturday, with the last pattern released on April 15.
Last year in November I did a little crochet along, the Mini Amigurumi Advent. Over 24 days I shared a new Christmas themed mini amigurumi crochet pattern as sort of a countdown to Christmas with crochet. I really enjoyed sharing the new pattern each day and I decided it would be fun to do something similar a few times a year. My plan is to do a Spring Crochet Along, a Summer Crochet Along, and then for fall a Halloween Crochet Along, and at Christmas time another Advent Crochet Along. The first 3 will have 12 patterns over the course of 2 weeks, and the Christmas one will once again be 24 patterns. Each pattern will be a mini amigurumi, a little stuffed crocheted item that fits with the theme of the crochet along.
The Spring 2023 Mini Amigurumi Crochet Along will be a farm animal theme. You can see a little sneak peek of a few animals in the picture above. I debated between a few different themes but ultimately landed on the farm animal theme because I associate spring time with the time baby farm animals are born.
Each of the mini animals will be made "teddy bear style". I'm not sure what else to call it, but what I mean by that is that they will be sitting like a teddy bear with arms and legs, rather than on all fours like many of the animals would actually be, or in whatever other way a particular animal may realistically be shaped. I made all of my animals sitting, and they are each about 3" tall sitting.
As each animal is released I will add the pattern link to this post so that all of the patterns will be linked in one place. The patterns will be free on my blog and will remain there, but there will also be an ebook available for purchase with all 12 patterns in one for those that prefer a printable version.
I am so excited to start this one.
