Week 2 of the Halloween Mini Amigurumi Crochet Along is starting today with Day 7 and a little Bitty Bat.
The Bitty Bat is made using the same body/head combination that I have used on my farm animals in the spring crochet along and most of the animals in the camping summer crochet along. It is also very similar to the ghost from Day 2, except that because the ghost had a pointy, twisty tail it started out a little bit different.
I used a very dark gray for my bat, for the same reason I chose to use a dark gray for the cauldron, I wanted to be able to see the eyes and mouth a little better and felt like it would be too hard to see on black. I did use a different dark gray, that is almost like a heathered black, for the wings just for a slight contrast.
The bat has pointy ears on top of its head and tiny feet, all of which are made in the round starting with a magic ring just like the body. Then it has little flat wings that are made working back and forth in rows.

Hi! Question on the wing pattern. What does “ sc inch st to end” mean? Trying to figure out the wing pattern. Thank You
ReplyDeleteIt should be "in each" not inch. single crochet in each stitch to the end
ReplyDeleteGot it. Thank You! Appreciate it. Been enjoying following along the halloween amigurumis 😊
