Three days in means we are already a quarter of the way done. Day 3 is a little cauldron filled with a bubbling brew. When I was trying to decide on a name for this pattern the only C word I could think of that kind of fit the halloween theme was creepy, and Creepy Cauldron just didn't quite seem to fit with the cute smiley face, so I just went with Bubbling Cauldron
The cauldron is made in a few pieces, starting with the bubbling brew. I made mine lime green because that just felt like a good color for a witches brew, but you could make it any color. Bobble stitches give it the bubbly texture.
The cauldron itself is made next. I used a dark charcoal gray instead of black because I wanted to be able to see the eyes and mouth and I was worried they would blend in a little too much on black. Even on the dark gray it is a little difficult to see the mouth but it is there. If you wanted to switch out the black for a pink you would be able to see it better. I stuck with the black to keep all of them the same, kind of just an aesthetic choice I guess. The cauldron is made and stuffed and then in the final rows you will put your bubbling brew on top and crochet it on to the cauldron like a little lid. A final round of reverse single crochet adds a little rim around the top of the cauldron and gives it a nice rounded edge.
Then last but not least you will add the little finishing touches with the handles and the feet. And with that your not so creepy cauldron of bubbling brew is done, and you have a third Halloween mini amigurumi to join the pumpkin and the ghost.
