Today is Day 10 of the Little Dinos Summer 2024 Mini Amigurumi Crochet AlongSummer 2024 Mini Amigurumi Crochet Along. Today's Little Dino is a little bit different than the others in the series because this one is not a specific type of dinosaur. The pattern for today is a tiny little hatching dinosaur.
The little hatchling is only about 3 inches tall, sitting in a broken eggshell with a little piece on top of its head too.
The tiny baby dinosaur body/head is made in one piece, just like the other dinosaurs but smaller. Then it has a little nose piece, and two tiny arms. The eggshell is made in 2 pieces, the larger bottom that the dinosaur sits in, and the smaller piece that sits on top of its head.
Just like always I used the Red Heart Super Saver yarn kit that I have been using for all of the dinosaurs in the series. I chose to use Soft White for the egg and Heather Gray for the dinosaur. I think it would look really cool to do the egg in a speckle yarn, but since I was specifically sticking with the yarn in this set I didn't do that.
It is kind of crazy to think that there only 2 days left. 10 patterns down 2 more to go. Come back tomorrow to see what's next.
