We are now three-quarters of the way through the Little Dinos Summer 2024 Mini Amigurumi Crochet AlongSummer 2024 Mini Amigurumi Crochet Along. Today is Day 9 of the crochet along and the Little Dino for today is Little Lophie the Parasaurolophus.
I recently made a pattern for this same dinosaur but in a larger size, so this mini Parasaurolophus is just a much smaller version of that dinosaur. It is made with the same body, arms, legs, and tail as the Pachycephalosaurus and the T-Rex.
The nose/mouth piece is slightly different, but the biggest difference is the crest on the back of its head and the stripe down to the nose. I made the crest and nose in a contrasting color to make it stand out since that is what really makes this dinosaur unique.
As usual I used the Red Heart Super Saver yarn kit that I have been using for all of the dinosaurs in the series. I decided to go a similar route to the one I did with the Pachycephalosaurus, and that is using 2 shades of the same color, this time in blue. I used Light Periwinkle as the main color, and then Light Blue for the contrasting crest.
I can hardly believe that we are already to day 9, but that means that there are only 3 days left of the Little Dinos Crochet Along. Only 3 more Dinos to go! Come back tomorrow to see what the next dinosaur will be.
