Today is Day 8 of the Little Dinos Summer 2024 Mini Amigurumi Crochet AlongSummer 2024 Mini Amigurumi Crochet Along and today's little dino is one that was an absolute must to include, because you can't have a set of dinosaurs without one of the most well known dinosaurs of all time, the Tyrannosaurus Rex. So for today's pattern meet Little T-Rex.

Little T-Rex is made very similar to the Pachycephalosaurus from Day 4, since they are both dinosaurs that are standing on 2 legs, unlike the other dinosaurs included in the set so far that all stand on 4 legs. Because of this their bodies, arms, legs, and tails are made in the same way. the biggest difference is in the nose/mouth.

The Pachycephalosaurus has a more beak like mouth so I made its nose a little smaller and pointer. The T-Rex had a bigger and wider nose/mouth/muzzle (I don't know the best word to call it but I have been referring to it as the nose on all of the patterns) and on it I stitched a white zigzag mouth to represent its sharp teeth.

I used the same Red Heart Super Saver yarn kit that I have been using for all of the dinosaurs in the series. For the T-Rex I chose to Dusty Gray, which is the lighter of the 2 grays included in the set. I felt like gray seemed like an appropriate color for a dinosaur like a T-Rex. Not quite as fun and happy as the pink and yellow and all of the other colors I have used.

This little dino means that we are 2/3 of the way finished with the crochet along. 8 Dinos down, only 4 more to go! Come back tomorrow to see what's next.
