Today is Day 3 of the Little Nativity Mini Amigurumi Crochet Along. Day 3 always feels like kind of a big deal because it means we are already a quarter of the way through. Along with the people that are part of the Nativity there will be some animals too, and today is the first animal of the crochet along. A Little Donkey.

Funny enough this is not the first Little Donkey I have done as part of a crochet along, and that will be the case for a more than one of the animals that will be included in this crochet along. Last year's spring crochet along was farm animal themed and it included a donkey. This one is a little bit different in style. All of the animals in the farm animal set were made in what I like to call "teddy bear style" sitting with its arms and legs positioned like a teddy bear. This little donkey is standing on all four legs more like a donkey actually does.

The Little Donkey is mostly gray, with little accents of white and black on the nose, mane, tail, and hooves. There is quite a bit of sewing on this one because there are lots of little pieces, but once it is all put together it makes an awfully cute little donkey.

The Little Donkey joins Mary and Joseph as the first 3 of the 12 patterns in this set. Come back tomorrow to see what Day 4 brings.
